Back to School!

Our annual tradition - first day of school picture at the front door

I can hardly believe it is time for Back to School! This year has just flown by, as usual. We had a moderately busy summer, trying to keep the kids busy with camps, trips, chores and fun.

We just had our two-year post placement home visit. Can you believe that - almost two years since we traveled to Russia to bring Darya into our family! Two years ago today we were on our way to Russia for our 2nd (court) trip. It does not seem like it has been that long at all! Time flies!

Darya has grown so much they would hardly recognize her now. And the boys; Ryan has turned into a teenager/young man so quickly he is not a little kid any more! Joshua is still a kid though, I hope he stays that way just a little bit longer!

We have been keeping busy as ever. I don't find much time to blog, not that I ever did, huh? I am trying out Facebook now. It's easier to make quick little comments rather than write long stories. However you find us, we're glad to have you follow along.

If you like, hop on over to my friend Alice's blog "Hoping for Girl" and give her a big congratulations on bringing home her little Russian doll just a few weeks ago. She is precious!

Also, anxiously awaiting the announcement of Kate's (From Russia with Love) new addition. Her blog should be public again shortly! Can't wait to see her new princess!

I'm sure there is so much more happening out there in blog-land, these two just come to mind.

Love and huggs to anyone still reading!

Kay

Happy First Day of School! It is hard to believe that it has been two years since ours paths crossed. I will always remember those first meetings with Darya. She was the first child we met in Russia and you were the first family we met who had adopted from Vlad while in Russia. It is hard to believe that it has been two years. So glad you and your family are doing well.

Hi, I have followed your blog for awhile now. I am just here to remind you that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and as a survivor, I am just going to all the blogs that I read to remind you to do your self breast exams. Have a great blessed day and DONT FORGET TO CHECK YOUR BREAST!
